Mekong Delta, Vietnam - Tuesday 13 September 2022

Today's activity is a small group tour to the Mekong Delta. Although I've been to Saigon before, I have not been to the Mekong Delta. Up at 7am for a 7:30 pick-up. It's nearly two hours to the starting point.

Caught a boat like this to the first island, Unicorn Island...

It was a good tour but pretty touristy. First we went to a local village where they served us fruit and sang for us. Then we walked a bit more to the honey place where they served us green tea with honey.

Then we walked a bit more to the coconut candy making place. After that, we got on a smaller boat and went to another place which had crocodiles and snakes.

From there, we were taken on a ride on an even smaller boat. The lady made us all wear hats!

Then back  and grabbed a bike and went on a short ride through the local village...

Then back for lunch. This is Elephant Fish. They prepared it in a rice paper roll.

Then we went back to the starting point and got the minivan to a local buddhist temple...

Then back on the minivan for the two hour trip back to Saigon.

Had a shower and headed to dinner. Was a bit tired so went to a pizza restaurant that had been recommended by the tour guide, and was near my hotel.

After that I walked back to the hotel and crashed.
