Flew from Madrid on Iberia to Marrakech. Iberia is a OneWorld airline so I have boarding and lounge status, even though I'm flying economy...
We are staying at Riad Lallabaya and they had arranged a transfer. We got through passport control quickly and found our driver. It was about a 30 minute drive to our Riad.
It's really nice...
It has a nice rooftop where we had breakfast every morning...
We headed out for a walk and to find some lunch. The Riad manager had suggested a few places so we found a rooftop bar/restaurant called Kabana...
The first night we found a Lebanese restaurant that had been recommended. This was the starter...
The next morning we had breakfast in the Riad. It was great...
Then we headed out with no particular plan...
We then walked around the Koutoubia Mosque which is a bit of a landmark. Non-muslims cannot enter....
After that we walked around the markets which you can easily get lost in...
The next night we had dinner overlooking the main square...
The mince beef pastry things were nice but the lamb tagine was a bit disappointing..
After dinner we went to another bar that had been recommended, at a 5 star hotel close to our Riad. It's a bit challenging to find alcohol here...
We then found a place for dinner where we sat on the terrace...
Afterwards I had a mint tea in this courtyard...
Then had a late lunch. It was lambshank tagine. It was just okay...
