Alhambra Palace, Granada - May 2026

Alhambra Palace has been on my bucket list most of my life and is in fact the reason we are in Granada and even Spain at the moment. I wanted to see it a couple of years ago when I was in Madrid, but realised it was too far.

I had booked a guided tour for 12 noon. At about 11am we headed up to the entrance to meet our guide.

It's a UNESCO site and the gardens are beautiful. We walked through the entrance and up to the starting point...

We found our guide and entered the palace grounds...

It was very busy...

Granada is a very pretty town...

Then we moved on to Nasrid Palace...

The ceiling...

Love the reflection...

Afterwards we were super hungry so we went back to the river and had a great lunch. This is just the appetiser!
