The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen. Here's some dim sum (course #5) !

The hotel pool was beautiful. Here is Callum playing up in the kids pool...

We did a tour of the towers. Unfortunately it was raining...

You could feel the towers moving at the top. A bit unsettling...

Singapore - 23 April to 26 April 2017

Had to go to Singapore for a couple of days for work, with my colleague, Idy. Flew early on Sunday to have a day in Singapore as I like it there.

Stayed at The Fairmont which was lovely. All rooms had balconies. This is my room...

View from balcony...

View from Idy's room - she upgraded to a harbour view...

View of Raffles from my balcony...

Pool at The Fairmont. We had breakfast overlooking the pool one day...

Spent Sunday afternoon wandering around Chinatown with Idy. Had hainan chicken rice at Maxwell Road hawker centre.

Street markets in Chinatown...

Good range of architectures...

There are some really interesting buildings going up in Singapore. More so than Hong Kong I think...

Sri Mariamman Temple in Chinatown...

Met colleagues for dinner and went across the road to Chijimes to a mexican place.

Monday, we caught MRT to work. One stop from Raffles Place to City Hall. Our new office is in the Capita Green building which was lovely.

Had lunch at my favourite hawker centre, Lau Pa Sat which is right across the road. Laksa !

Wasn't feeling well so went back to the hotel after work. Ordered nasi goreng from room service.

Worked the next day and was taken to The Westin for buffet lunch which was amazing.

This was our table. Looking out to Marina Bay...

The desserts were amazing...

After work went for a drink to New Asia Bar at the top of The Stamford on Level 71. It  had great reviews, but was a bit disappointing. More a nightclub than a bar. Then to dinner at Indochine at Chijimes.

Early flight the next day and back at work in Hong Kong by 1230.
