Jeju Island, South Korea - Wednesday 7 October, 2026

Today I move to the south-side of the island so I checked out and headed off. This is the main building of the hotel...

The grounds are nice...

I have a few things to see on the way. First stop was Bijarim Forest where I did a short circular walk...

The forest contains thousands of ancient nutmeg trees...

I then tried to find another walk called the Saryeoni Forest Path, but I couldn't find anywhere to stop so I kept going. I stopped at Namwon Beach for a walk and a coffee...

Then I kept going to Seogwipo where I will stay the next two nights. It's too early to check-in so I went to the first of two waterfalls...

This one is called Jeongbang Waterfall and it was an easy walk from the car park. This one is famous, as it falls directly into the sea...

I then drove to my hotel and checked in. This one is called Jeju Hallagung Hanok Hotel and the architecture is very Korean.

The grounds are nice, and contain some traditional hanok houses...

The room was modern, and had a nice sea view...

I then drove into Seogwipo town for a late lunch. However, I had forgotten that restaurants take a break time between 3pm and 5pm. I did find one that was open in this street...

This is the restaurant...

After lunch, I drove the short distance to Saeyeongyo Bridge and walked over to Saeseom Island.

You walk over this bridge to the island and then do a nice circular walk around the island.

This is looking back to the port...

Then I headed to the next waterfall I wanted to see called Cheonjeyeon Falls. It's really nice and peaceful...

Back to the hotel and changed for dinner. I caught an Uber in for about A$4 as I didn't want to have to deal with parking. This is the hotel at night...

I went to Olle Market and found a restaurant, as I didn't want to eat standing up. I had this seafood dish. The waiter cooks it for you.

I then walked out to the street, and caught an Uber back to the hotel.
