I arrived in Jeju after an easy one hour flight on Korean Airways. I caught the shuttle to Lotte Car Rental and picked up a hybrid Hyundai Avante. My hotel is about a 40 minute drive away at Hamdeok Beach, so I stopped at Yongduam Rock, which is on the way.
The rock is famous as it is shaped like a dragon's head, and is located in the middle of Jeju city which is the biggest town here...
I then drove through Jeju city to my hotel at Hamdeok Beach. I unpacked and did some washing, then headed into town for dinner. This is the beach...
I found a restaurant with the specialty of the area - pork bone soup. It was good but fiddly getting the meat off the bone...
After that, I went for a quick walk around the small town then drove back to the hotel. I have a big day planned tomorrow.
