I have to go to London for our Global Partner Conference. As I have to stop somewhere, I decided to work a few days in the Singapore office to break the trip.
I flew on Sunday afternoon. I wanted to go on the A380 so my flight was QF1 at 15:55 which is a late flight. I'm checking a bag this time as it's going to be cold in London so I did that and went through passport control to the Qantas First Lounge and ordered lunch.
Boarded on time and easy flight as usual. Had a meal and then a good nap so I'm as adjusted to the time change as possible as the time difference is now three hours.
Business Class is upstairs on the A380 and these are the stairs down to First Class. I used the toilets down there.
They have a little lounge here at the front but I didn't see anybody use it. It has a small self-service bar fridge...
Landed on time and easy transition through passport control and into a Grab to Paradox Singapore Merchant Court. As the Westin where I usually stay is above budget this time, I'm trying the Paradox at Clarke Quay. I've stayed here in the past and I like the proximity to Clarke Quay and the resort style pool.
I had previously emailed with the hotel manager and requested a nice room. As a result they upgraded me to an Executive King and breakfast was included.
I'm on 12th floor which is the top floor. I have a balcony which is nice. This is looking down to the pool...
Looking across the river to Clarke Quay...
I went to Lau Pa Sat for lunch on a couple of days. I remember to carry my tissues now...
Wednesday I went to Liberty for Partner drinks after work.
Friday night I was on a late flight on QF1 to London. I worked from the hotel in the morning then checked out and left my bag. In the evening I went to a bar in Clarke Quay as I don't want to get to the airport too early.
Caught a Grab to the airport at about 8pm.
Easy check in and headed to the Qantas First Class Lounge for dinner. I started with a cocktail...
The food here is good so I had my usual, the prawn wontons...
