Got up early on Saturday and caught the MTR to Choi Hung and met my hiking friends. Then caught a green minibus to Sai Kung. Then a regular bus to Sai Kung Country Park.
Walked through an abandoned village near the start of the hike...
Many cows in the area...
Had a swim at this beach which was a great way to cool down. It is quite remote, but there were a few surfers there as the waves were good - biggest I have seen in Hong Kong...
Meant to be the most beautiful beach in Hong Kong. And it was, except for the rubbish piled up at the high tide mark that has washed in. Pity...
Climbing the stairs away from the 4 beaches...
Looking back...
Very enterprising way to fix a gap in the fence...
We were going to catch a boat back to Sai Kung but the wait was 4 hours so we walked out. It was a long and boring walk along a road with no views. Eventually got mini bus back to Sai Kung.
This street is in Sai Kung and always makes me laugh...
Then regular bus back to Choi Hung for lunch at Sushi Express. Then train back home. Legs and back pretty tired now.
