Melbourne - March 2023

Headed to Melbourne for work to meet the team. Decided to stay the weekend. The office is at 140 William Street. View from the kitchen...

On Friday night I met some ex-colleagues for a drink at a a bar near the office called Mitre Tavern. Really fun night...

After that, I walked to Chinatown for food..

Saturday morning on a quest for coffee. This one is Manchester Press...

Club Retro is right across from where I was staying in Lonsdale Street. I have fond memories from many yeas ago !

Saturday morning was a beautiful day. I walked the short distance to the National Gallery of Victoria.

Went in to see the Alexander McQueen exhibition...

Then headed for lunch at Hardware Lane which was right where I was staying...

That night, found a rooftop bar close to my hotel, called Blacksmith Bar & Grill...

Then on to a Japanese restaurant called Bincho Boss for dinner. The set menu was great...

After dinner I went for a walk and stumbled on another rooftop bar in Bourke Street.

Next morning had breakfast nearby...

That night I went to see a show called & Juliet which was really fun. Had a late feast at a Cambodian restaurant...

Back to Sydney the next day.

Sydney - February 2023

 Saturday morning in Artarmon. Time for brunch!

Another day at The Entrance while on my bike ride. Corn fritters and too much bacon!

After the grass has been cut at Berkeley Vale...

Sydney - January 2023

We did some exploring of the Tuggerah area. One day we went to a place with both a cheese and chocolate factory. Here they are making chocolate...

Our friends came from London for a visit and we had a family dim sum lunch in Chatswood...

Another day a mate came to Berkeley Vale to visit and we went to Wyong for lunch.

The neighbours a few doors up have a big ride on mower. One day they did a lot of the area between the bike path and the lake. Looks much better!

The weather was nice and on a full moon night, I went for a walk.

I brought up the painting that I had done as a team building exercise in Hong Kong...

We took our friends to Toowoon Bay for a swim one day. It was lovely.

The weeds at the side of the house were out of control. So I put some cardboard down and covered it with leaf mulch.

Another day, we took our friends to the Hunter Valley. 

We had a tasty lunch in between wineries...

On the way home we stopped at the Oak, for old times sake. It was closed though by the time we got there.

I finally got the job offer I had been waiting for. So we celebrated!

On our last night, we went to a mediterranean style restaurant in Wyong called Motel Mezza Social Bar.

I cycled to The Entrance most days for a coffee. I haven't seen this design before...
