I arrived eary evening from Hong Kong. The flight was late arriving due to the poor weather in Hong Kong. I caught a Grab to my hotel, The Dream Suite. It is located one block back from My Khe Beach.
I took a look at the rooftop pool...
Then I went for a walk to the beach which is close, as it was getting dark.
I went for a massage and then had dinner...
On Friday morning I got up and had breakfast in the hotel, which is included in the room rate. You can choose a selection of mains, plus coffee and a dessert.
I then caught a Grab to The Marble Mountains (see separate post). After that, I came back to the street where I was staying and had a coconut coffee which was great...
Across the road from my hotel was a restaurant which had been recomnended. I had this pancake, and another coffee...
I then went back to the hotel for a rest. It is very hot.
That night I went to a restaurant I had read about called Gypsy Bar. It overlooks the river.
It's on the rooftop of a hotel, overlooking the pool...
It was a real fine dining experience. To start, I had the beef carpaccio which they rolled in front of me...
Then I had a seafood risotto but that picture didn't work out.
Afterwards I walked to a hidden bar I had read about called United bar. It was behind this door. Unfortunately I couldn't get a seat so I left...
The next morning I was again up early and tried the next item on the menu for breakfast...
After that I got my Grab driver to take me to the marina as I'd seen it on Instagram and there's a cafe set up to look like you are in Santorini. It was underwhelming.
I then got the driver to take me to the pink church. There was a service on so I took a photo and returned to my hotel.
I then headed to the beach for a swim...
I then went for a walk and had a coffee...
Later that afternoon I went to a bar on the beach called East West Brewing. I sat outside and enjoyed the ambience...
I tried some beers...
And had some food. It's a lovely spot...
It is super busy in the water...
I wanted to see the Dragon Bridge at night so I caught a Grab to a bar I had read about with great views. I got a shared table but it was PACKED. The Dragon breathes fire every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. But becuase there was a firework show further up yhe river, it didn't breathe fire while I was there. It does look good though...
It was crazy busy so I decided to walk back to the hotel.
The next morning I tried another thing on the breakfast menu...
I then went for a walk to the beach...
Then I walked to a cafe I had read about and had a coconut coffee...
I then walked to the river as I wanted to see the Dragon Brdge during the day...
I went back to the hotel pool for a swim and relax...
That night I went back to East West Brewing...
There was a fire show...
I am going to Hue later today. So I checked out of my hotel and went to another beach club to kill some time. It's called Esco. I sat on the balcony...
I then went back to the hotel to get my bag, and caught a Grab to the railway station for my trip to Hue (see separate post).
When I got back from Hue, I caught a Grab to a different hotel, this time right on the beach. There's a rooftop with a pool and they serve a free adternoon tea there.
I went for a walk down the beach as I wanted to try a beach ckub I had seen on Instagram called Maia Beach Bar...
Da Nang is famous for its sunrises so the next morning I got up at 5am an headed to the beach. I was surprised with how busy it was...
The sun hasn't risen yet but it's quite bright...
So busy and it's only 0530...
Went back to the hotel and got my bag, caught a Grab to the airport and had an easy flight back to Hong Kong on /hong Kong Airlines.
Great trip.
