Hong Kong - October 2025

Time for my quarterly Asia trip. Flew to Hong Kong on Friday during the day. Coming into Hong Kong...

Easy flight and usual transfer via the Airport Express to the Renaissance. This time I've been upgraded to a harbour view room which is lovely. This is the night view from my room...

Spent the weekend hiking and catching up with friends. I went to Shek O on Saturday which was a T3 but the weather was great. 

Had a nice Thai lunch and headed back to Central.

The next day I had to go to the W Hotel as I'd left my suit pants there last trip. t's not that easy to get to so I caught the ferry to TST and walked through Harbour City. Stopped for lunch at a Vietnamese place. The food was great...

Then I walked along the street for a bit. My pants were waiting so I was much relieved.

That night I met a friend for a drink at Varga Lounge in Central...

The next day, I hiked up the Green Trail to The Peak. It was very slippery given the recent rain...

Came back down via the Morning Trail...

I stopped for lunch on the way back...

Monday was a public holiday in NSW and it's mid-Autumn Festival here so I took the day off. Tuesday was the public holiday for mid-Autumn Festival so I worked from the hotel. 

On Wednesday I went to the office and had meetings with potential laterals. Here's the view from the meeting room I was working in...

I left at lunchtime and headed to the airport for my flight to Shanghai. Had lunch in the lounge...

Easy flight to Shanghai.
