Then drove an hour and a half or so to the Great Wall at Badaling. Got out of the car and nearly died due to the freezing wind coming off the Gobi Desert !
The wall is very impressive and we climbed a part of it and walked for a couple of kilometres. It has been well preserved and parts of it were very steep.

Lunch at KFC...as usual, Callum doesn't want his photo taken...
Lake in the old part of town...lots of cool bars and restaurants...good atmosphere...
Part of it was frozen and the next day, the boys went skating on it...
Had dinner at a traditional Beijing theatre restaurant. The food was amazing and we had the Peking Duck and plenty of other dishes. The food here is definitely a highlight.

The show was good too. The actors change faces. Quite amazing.
