Shenzhen - August 2017

Had a friend here from Sydney so took a day off and went to Shenzhen. Went early and getting the visa was much easier this time. Had a coffee at KFC while we waited for the shops to open...

Found the fabric market on level 5 of Luoho...

Then caught the local subway out to Dafen and had a walk around...

Hong Kong - August 2017

Found a new cha chaan teng right next to my office. Good quick lunch...

Went to dinner after in Jordan. More local than a cha chaan teng. Had great spicy tofu, beef & veges and oyster omelette...

I am doing English / Cantonese language exchange and met my exchange partner at a cafe in TST. Chocolate looks great and will try it next time !

Still trying lunch places in Sheung Wan. Had pork and tofu laksa here one day. It was okay, not spectacular...

Lion Rock - August 2017

Next hike was Lion Rock. Met friends at Kowloon Tong and caught a taxi to the start of the hike. It was pretty steep but not as bad as the Twins that I did a couple of weeks ago.

Then we kept going down a bit, and then up a very long and steep road. I struggled with that, as it became very hot. Then came to another place with stunning views down to Sai Kung...

Then walked down a road into Choi Hung and then caught a taxi the rest of the way.

Had lunch at a sushi place - tasty and very cheap...$8 per plate...

Then back to Mongkok to look at some hiking shops. I need proper shoes and I bought a decent backpack. More walking ! My legs are very tired now !! 

Walked to Yau Ma Tei for extra punishment, and caught MTR home and collapsed.
