Bangkok, Thailand - September 2025

I found out on Friday that I needed to go to Bangkok for a meeting on Monday. So I caught the Cathay flight to Bangkok on Sunday afternoon. This time I'm staying at Conrad Bangkok...

I had a quick swim and steam then met my colleagues for dinner...

The next morning we met in the hotel and planned for the meeting. The meeting itself was two hours over lunch and went well.

My colleagues left in the afternoon so I went to dinner by myself and had a walk around.

Tuesday I headed to the office. The first thing I saw from my office window was the windows of the next door building being washed...

Nice view from the office...

They remembered I liked Thai Tea so they bought one for me...

The team took me to lunch and then I headed to the station and took the ARL to Suvarnabhumi Airport...

I went to the AirFrance Lounge while I waited for the Qatar Longe to open at 4pm. The AirFrance lounge was awful but I had a shower and then move to the Qatar Lounge which was fantastic.

Hong Kong - September 2025

Landed in Hong Kong around midnight after an easy Cathay flight from Singapore.

Caught the Airport Express to Kowloon as I'm staying at the W this time. I've stayed here once before and really enjoyed it. It's a bit trickier to get to the office but I love the rooftop pool. My colleagues are staying at the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai but that is way above my budget. The W is quite reasonable.

This is the view from my room...

Feng Shui...so the dragon can fly through the building...

Love the pool at this hotel...

The next morning I had breakfast in the hotel and then made my way to the office.

On Friday I worked from the Executive Lounge of the Grand Hyatt, where my colleagues were staying. This is the view of the shared pool with the Renaissance, where I usually stay...

And this is the view over to Kowloon...

They served a very nice afternoon tea...

On Saturday I had dinner at one of the restaurants in Elements mall which is connected to the hotel...

Sunday I had breakfast in the hotel...

Then headed to the airport for my flight to Bangkok.

Singapore - September 2025

Easy flight from Perth to Singapore on Saturday afternoon and arrived at Changi on time at 6pm.

Nice lunch with a cheese platter and dessert wine...

Easy process through passport control as usual and into a Grab to the Westin. I've done this so many times now, it's automatic.

Unpacked and met my colleagues for a drink and dinner. We went to Nobu which was very nice.

Sunday I had breakfast in the hotel then heaed to Marina Bay and hired a bike from CityScoot, as I have done before. Rode out to East Coast Park.

Sunday night had dinner at a place called Abriza in Chinatown. Food and service were only average...

Monday headed to the office for a day of meetings. That night we had a partner dinner at Super Loco, a casual Mexican place on the harbour. Worked again on Tuesday before heading to Hong Kong on Tuesday evening.

Perth - September 2025

Had to go to Perth for work, as the first stop for a road trip to Asia.

Flew Thursday afternoon and landed in the evening. I'm staying at the Ritz Carlton at Elizabeth Quay this time which I'm looking forward to as it is usually above my budget.

Nice touch and I took it to the office to share...

Huge bathroom...

Nice view from the room...

I went and had a jacuzzi...

And sat in the sauna...

I had a credit to use so I headed to the poolside bar for a cocktail...

That night I had dinner at Elizabeth Quay with the colleagues I am travelling with.

Friday morning we went to the office for a full day of meetings. We had a lunch with the partners and then drinks with the staff. After work we had dinner in Elizabeth Quay again.

Saturday got up and went to the gym. Then left for the airport for our flight to Singapore.

Koh Samui, Thailand - December 2025

After a week at the Amari, we moved to the Melia as I wanted to try a different area. It's not far away and on Cheong Mon Beach which is...
