Singapore - Monday 27 to Thursday 30 August 2018

Monday caught the MRT from City Hall to Raffles Place (one stop). Had a nice Indian lunch with my colleague Gracie.

After work I caught the MRT to Chinatown and had dinner at Smith Street (Food Street). SGD10 for this...

Took a taxi back to hotel and crashed.

Tuesday was taken to lunch by one of the partners. After work I went to Lantern at the Fullerton Bay Hotel which was on my list of rooftop bars to try...

SGD22 for a chardonnay served in a plastic glass ! But there's a pool there, so understand. Great views though...

Then went to Lau Pa Sat, my favourite hawker centre for kway du. SGD5 for the large...

My favourite Shanghai bar, Bar Rouge, has opened in Singapore. On Level 71 of my hotel ! Had to try it...

Wednesday had team lunch at a German burger place. And after work I went to Loof, another rooftop bar very close to my hotel...

Shiitake mushroom skewers. Yum...

Singapore - Sunday 26 August 2018

Back to Singapore for work. Been more than a year since my last trip. Flew in Cathay Pacific's newest plane - A350.

Went Premium Economy which was very nice. Flight time 3 hours but we were delayed in HK nearly 2 hours as the cabin overheated due to some generator problem at HKIA.

Flew in on Sunday to prepare for work on Monday.

Stayed at the Swissotel The Stamford, right next to The Fairmont, where I stayed last time. Nice spacious room with a balcony...

That afternoon I caught a taxi to Gardens by the Bay which I've never been to. Good timing as they do a light show between 7pm and 8pm to classical music. Very impressive.

Went to Indochine which is a bar in one of the trees...

Couldn't get a taxi, so I walked back to hotel...

Shanghai - August 2018

Back for work to help induct our new Office Manager. Flew on Sunday as I want to be in the office first thing Monday.

Monday in the office is fresh coconut day!

Monday night I took my colleagues from The Caribbean to Lost Heaven on The Bund. Food was amazing as usual. This is a tea leaf dish. Really good...

Found an Aussie themed cafe on the way to work. Coffee okay, not much food choice...

But every coffee came with a Tim Tam !
