I used to come to Noosa frequently but it's been 10 years. So in May, I went for a long weekend with some old friends.
Flew Virgin (also not done that for 10 years) on Thursday morning. Virgin flys out of a different domestic terminal to Qantas so coming out of the train station, I turned left instead of right.
Easy 1 hour 20 minute flight to Maroochydore. I was up the back but could exit by the rear doors so it wasn't too bad.
We picked up our hire car and as it was too early to check in, we stopped at Sunshine Beach Surf Club for lunch...
We then drove to Noosa and checked in. The are staying in a 3BR apartment up Noosa Hill, while I am at Jacaranda Apartments in Hastings Street. We met for a swim and then had a beer at Noosa Surf Club.
That night we went to a nice Asian restaurant in Hastings Street called Bang Bang.
The next morning the weather wasn't great but I went for a walk through the national park to Hell's Gates. I used to do this walk often. The boardwalk for the first part is nice and new...
Made it. It's very windy...
We then met for lunch at Sails on the beach. Great food...
We did the same walk each morning...
My apartment backs on to the Noosa River and there's a path I can use which was handy. There was a lot of rain so we didn't have much beach time.

Had a very nice granola breakfast one morning. The food is of a high standard here...
On Sunday I checked out at 10am and took my stuff to my friends' apartment as we had paid for late checkout there as we are not flying until 1705. We went for a swim in their pool and then headed to Peregian Beach for lunch...
We then headed for the airport for the quick flight home. All in all a nice weekend.
