Udaipur, India - Sunday 2 March 2025

 Sunday morning. Another beautiful day. This is my breakfast each day...

This is the rooftop restaurant...

Today we are going to get a boat to Jagmandir Island Palace which we can see from our hotel. We walked to the City Palace and bought tickets which then required us to walk through the palace to the jetty. We should have done it yesterday and would have saved some money.

The boat does a bit of a circle past some interesting buildings. I do like the architecture...

We arrived and had a walk around. There isn't much here...

The gardens are nice...

We needed a rest and found a decent place for coffee...

And then headed for lunch to a restaurant that has been recommended by a guy I met at our client function in Mumbai. Google maps said only 1 km so we decided to walk. We should have caught a rickshaw as there's no footpath and it's hot.

The restaurant is called 1559 AD which is the year that Udaipur was founded.

Arrived and sat outside on the balcony which was lovely...

The food was great...

We caught a rickshaw back to the hotel for a rest. The rickshaw driver thought he was a Formula One driver so the ride was a bit scary!

That evening I walked again to the other side of the lake for a drink. 

There aren't bars per se but I say at a restaurant and had some margeritas...

And ordered some snacks...

Watched while it got dark and had some dinner...

Then headed back to the hotel.
