Sydney - October 2019

Quick trip for my friend's 50th and to see the family. Overnight flight on Cathay (economy).

Friday night I caught up with my friend Rodney, for drinks.

Saturday was a gorgeous day and I took Callum to basketball.



Saturday night was the big 50th at The Park Hyatt.

Sunday morning I had breakfast with Jacqui at Brick Lane in West Pymble.

And then I bought a bike ! I really miss cycling.

Monday I drove to Narrabeen and rode around the lake. Got a puncture, so I walked to the beach to kill some time while it was fixed. Gorgeous day.

Monday night I took Callum to soccer at North Turramurra.

Hong Kong - September / October 2019

Enjoying having some time in Hong Hong. Protests are worrying as they are becoming more violent.

Went to Instagram Pier one night for a walk.

Went to a mental health fundraiser at the Rugby Club...



Finally had a beach day ! Weather in September is gorgeous. Got off the bus at Repulse Bay.

Then caught a bus to South Bay...



And walking back to Repulse Bay to get the bus...

National Day was very quiet in Central, but there were violent protests that night. This is Hollywood Road at lunchtime. Unusually quiet...

Callum came to visit on 2 October for a week which was great.

One Saturday, when the whole MRT system was closed, we caught the ferry to Cheung Chau Isand. It was really nice and relaxing...

On my birthday I was taken to a Thai restaurant in Mongkok for dinner. Scallops, a stir-fry then a curry...

Finally got my old banana bread recipe. Use my oven for the 2nd time ! It was good.

I've been walking a bit doing the 10,000 steps per day for 10 day challenge. That means I'm discovering some new places nearby.

Found a new hidden bar in Sheung Wan. The Sea. Nice cocktails. I had a few of these.

Went to visit my mate Ian who lives on Peng Chau. Took his dog for a walk...

Bought new carry on...
