It's Saturday and today I want to work out the subway, and go cycling, as I spotted a bike track by the river yesterday.
My colleague Wei Ching met me at my hotel and we caught the subway to Oriental Sports Centre, the starting point for our ride.
Got a share bike and rode along the river for 13km. It was nice to see a different side to the city.
Then left the bikes and caught a ferry back over the river. Very local.
Then had Shanghainese food and walked a bit more. Finally feeling a little bit more like Asia !

Had a swim at the hotel. My legs are sore ! Then caught a taxi back to the Bund.

Sunday got up and had breakfast, then a quick walk around Xintiandi. Then check-out and taxi to Longyang Road Station and then the MAGLEV to the airport. Very exciting 6 minute trip.

This building in Xintiandi is the site of the first sitting of the CCP (I think). Whatever it is, it is very significant.

At the airport, they put me on an earlier flight. First time on Cathay Dragon. Great trip.
